Choose the office by jurisdiction and record type. Lancaster County Prison is not operated by the elected sheriff, and county probation is separate from state parole.

For state records, contact the PA DOC RTKL Office, Office of Chief Counsel, 1920 Technology Parkway, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, at 717-728-7763 or RA-docrighttoknow@pa.gov. PA SAVIN offers release notifications at 866-972-7284, TTY 866-847-1298, with operators available around the clock. If a plausible immigration case is not found online, ICE’s information line is 888-351-4024, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern.

• For a county release entry, use the County Open Records form and request existing fields for a named commitment.
• For current Lancaster jail information, call the prison or use the official live locator.
• For county parole or probation, contact APPS. For state parole, contact the DOC sub-office or use the DOC supervised locator.
• For a court disposition, bail event, or sentence, use Pennsylvania UJS public docket sheets or the proper Lancaster court filing office.
• For historic prison registers from 1908 through 1969, contact County Archives rather than the current prison records route.
• For a federal sentence, use the nationwide BOP locator. For immigration custody, use ICE ODLS and then the ICE information line if needed.
• For release alerts covering participating county jail, state prison, and state parole records, register through PA SAVIN before the expected event.
